This Free part-time training program for youth, between the ages of 16 & 30, aims at equipping participants with the necessary skills to interact and succeed in their volunteer and work positions throughout their lifetime.

Works is an employment program that assists youth and young adults ages 15 to 30 overcome their barriers to employment. Our supports are designed to help participants discover new skills and refine existing ones towards labor market integration or further education. Over a 4 week period we provide individual and group based supports that include needs assessments and employability & skills building workshops. Upon completion, we connect participants with a paid job opportunity or with appropriate courses and training opportunities in a field of their choice. For those entering the workforce, an additional 8 weeks for tailored supports are provided to both participants and their employers to promote long term success. Requirements Transportation, childcare, allowance equivalent to minimum wage during the in-class portion, work related material and supplies, completion bonus, employment and academic advice, interview preparation, networking, and on the job supports for participants and employers. Eligibility Participants must:
- be between 15 & 30 years old
- Not be currently enrolled in school
- be legally entitled to work in Canada
